Wednesday Season 1 (2022) Series Review

The Wednesday Season 1 Poster by Netflix |
I just finished it, and it is really, REALLY good, undoubtedly the best new Series on Netflix. Lots of expectations when Tim Burton put his Name on this Series, but kudos to him and his Creative Team for delivering the Goods big time.
It just so good on so many levels, first is that it is not only about the Dark Humor and quick, witty Dialogue, there is a lot of multi-level Storytelling also involved, giving most of the Characters a lot of depth.

Web of Make Believe: Death, Lies and the Internet: Season 1 (2022) Series Review

The Web of Make Believe Poster by Netflix |
I stopped watching after just the Second Episode when I realized what this Series is, and that is just Liberal Democrat Propaganda Bullsh1t designed to put the Internet in a negative light and justify their Censorship of Social Media.
The Seth Rich Issue, for example. The FACT is that Julian Assange sort of outed Rich himself because he was concerned as to why one of their Sources was killed in an unsolved Murder. It's as simple as that.

Squid Game Season 1 (2021) Series Review

The Squid Game Poster by Netflix |
I had some reservations about this Series, I thought it would just be a rip off of the excellent “Alice in Borderland (AIB)” Series (read my Review about it here by the way) which I absolutely loved.
And after watching it, not only does it have the similar themes as AIB, but also pushes the same Emotional Buttons, especially during its more emotionally charged moments, which is Episode 3 in AIB and Episode 6 on this one.

Jupiter’s Legacy Season 1 (2021) Series Review

A Jupiter's Legacy Series Poster by Netflix |
I liked the Series, and frankly I can’t understand how it got cancelled after just 1 Season when a crappy Series like “Titans” gets three and counting. There isn’t a lot of action in the Series, it relied more on Plot Development and some Character Development.
But that doesn’t explain why it didn’t click, you can pretty much the same thing about “The Umbrella Academy” also and it is doing quite well.

Fate: The Winx Saga Season 1 (2021) Series Review

Fate: The Winx Saga Poster by Netflix |
This Series is amazing, and for the life of me I can't understand why it only got 31% on Rotten Fakking Tomatoes while an overly simplistic series like "Lupin" full of Plot Holes and Plot Armor would get a 96% rating.
Is it because the main Character of Lupin was black, and that there were discussions about "Whitewashing" with Fate: The Winx Saga? Really? So everything is politicized now, including the Series and Movies?

Joanna Lumley's Silk Road Adventure (2018) Series Review

I absolutely love this Series, very Educational in terms of where the Silk Road really went, and how the Countries that it passed are now. Also a lot of Strange, Exotic, Majestic Landscapes / Architecture / Culture.
Travel is always an Adventure and it is the best kind of Adventure there is. There are some slow spots for me personally like when they talked about Rugs, Poetry, etc., but fortunately there aren’t that many.
Overall a Must See Series for me.

Cobra Kai Season 3 (2020) Series Review

Cobra Kai Season 3 Poster by Netflix |
I initially intended to “savor” this Season, I planned to watch it over a course of 2-3 Days. Instead, I ended up watching all 10 Episodes in a single Day.
I just couldn’t help it, the Storytelling was so compelling and the Cliffhangers at the end of each Episode made me look forward to watch the next one.

Alice in Borderland Season 1 (2020) Series Review

Alice in Borderland Title Screenshot from its official Netflix Trailer |
There are Series on Netflix that you have high hopes for or just seems good, but end up flat on their Faces when you finally watch it. On the other Hand, there are Series that you don’t have a lot of expectations or know little about, but turn out to be a really big surprise.
This is one of those Series, I literally knew nothing about it, I just tried it out and it turns out to be one of the best Series I have seen this Year. It is a Mystery-Action-Adventure-Thriller about a group of Friends who end up in a Place where they are forced to participate in Games that result in Life or Death.

Alien Worlds (2020) Season 1

Alien Worlds Poster by Netflix |
It's a pretty short Season 1, only 4 Episodes of around 40 minutes each. I like that each Episode tackles a different type of Planet, and they do a lot of expounding on what was their basis for imagining such Creatures based on examples here on Earth.
The Production Values also are pretty good, they go to various Places around the World for the Examples and took the Scientists with them. Very thought provoking, especially the last Episode where it may also be a glimpse of the future of Mankind.

The Queen’s Gambit (2020) Series Review

The Queen's Gambit Limited Series Poster by Netflix |
Another winner by Netflix, one of the very best Series I have seen this Year. It starts off a bit slow since the main Character doesn’t really do a lot of Dialogue.
Instead, much of the Story is told thru Visual Cues, like the expression of their Faces, what is happening around them, or thru the Dialogue of the other Characters, so it does need some bit of getting used to.

Cobra Kai Season One (2018) Review

Cobrai Kai Series Poster by Sony Pictures Television |
I finally finished Season One of Cobra Kai on Netflix, I started watching it in 2018 but gave up after 5 Episodes since buying and watching it on Youtube Red was just too cumbersome, not to mention expensive, at least compared to other Streaming alternatives like Netflix.
With Youtube Red back then, you had to buy each and every Episode, they didn’t even bundle it with a Full Season Pass so it will be easier to acquire and watch. Anyway, when the Series debuted in 2018 I thought it was just so amazing. Two years later watching it after much of the Nostalgia wore off, it is just good.

Snowpiercer (2020) Review, First Two Episodes

I was skeptical about this series, I loved the movie and I just wasn't sure they could do as good a job with a series, I thought they would likely just ruin it instead.
However, after watching the first two episodes, I was not only surprised but also amazed over the fact that it turned out to be even better than the movie.

I'm Not Okay With This (2020) Series Review
![]() |
"I'm Not Okay With This" Poster courtesy of Netflix |
Season 1 of "I'm not Okay with This" is relatively short, only 7 episodes between 19 to 28 minutes long with a total running time of only slightly over 2 1/2 hours.
But the characterizations are pretty good, it is mainly about a teen struggling with a personal tragedy, her sexuality and emerging telekinetic powers. The short episodes also mean that the pacing moves along pretty well, not a lot of wasted time here.
And it has a literally "explosive" season finale that resulted in one hell of a cliffhanger that will make you beg for the second season right away. Very highly recommended.

Crash Landing on You (2020) Series Review

Crash Landing on You Series Poster |
I finally finished it, 16 episodes and more than 20 hours of total running time. I’m not a fan of Korean Telenovelas, but I decided to give this one a try because of all the hype and also I thought that anything related to North Korea should be interesting.
And it turned out to be quite an amazing series. In fact the hardest thing I had to do was resist watching the next episode because once you start watching it, it’s pretty hard to stop.
