Cobra Kai Season 3 Poster by Netflix |
I initially intended to “savor” this Season, I planned to watch it over a course of 2-3 Days. Instead, I ended up watching all 10 Episodes in a single Day.
I just couldn’t help it, the Storytelling was so compelling and the Cliffhangers at the end of each Episode made me look forward to watch the next one.
Again like the previous Seasons, you have that multi-level Storylines, great characterization and excellent humor, like Johnny Lawrence still using Windows XP for example, or how about that long, touching “I am a Sensei” Speech to Ali which eventually ended up as just, “Not much, you?”, LOL.
The Showrunners also have a lot of tricks on their Sleeves, and they use it all, playing Mind Games with the Audience, like, who was that Guy with the Pony Tail in John Kreese’s past, was that …?
Or how about that Blond Female Doctor we see from behind attending to Miguel Diaz, was that …? As expected though, Ali Mills does make an appearance in this Season, and it looks like she could also be a part of the Series next Season.
I loved those Flashbacks to Kreese’s past, it was a pleasant surprise, and a wonderful setup opportunity for Season 4.
I also loved the Series' attention to detail, like Daniel Larusso going back to Japan, it wasn't just a flimsy excuse for him to meet Kumiko and Chozen Toguchi again.
They really drilled it into the Plot to make it more convincing and believable for the Fans, plus added some nice Twists to that Storyline.
Anyway, Cobra Kai has proven to be the Gold Standard when it comes to turning Movie Franchises into a Series.
Another fantastic Season, the Series is definitely now one of Netflix’s Crown Jewels for me along with Stranger Things, The Witcher, etc. A Must See for me.
