Best Series and Movies on Netflix - March 2025

The Netflix Logo
Here are what I think are the at least watchable to Best Series and Movies that I watched on Netflix for the Month of March 2025:

* Pantheon (2025) Season Two, Final Season Animated Series – Highly recommended, noticeably not as good as the first Season, but good enough on its own, certainly a fitting Ending to the Series. Like the first Season, the first two Episodes weren’t that good, but it did turn out well after that. Also it did sort of change from just “Science Fiction” to “Science Fantasy” already in the End, I felt that the Creators were sort of just forced to squeeze in all of the Storylines they planned for one or two more Seasons into this one. This is an animated Series that is set in an alternate, contemporary Reality where Humans were finally able to upload their Consciousness into a Computer, and had to deal with the Consequences that eventually arose from it.

* The Electric State (2025) Movie – Outstanding, this is a Movie set in an alternative Reality in the 1990s where Robots were able to gain Sentience after serving Mankind and ended up battling for their Independence. The Characters were pretty interesting, and Chris Pratt as usual is spot on with his Humor. The Movie starts off a bit slow, but gains a lot of Traction when they started their Journey to go the “Electric State”, a piece of Land where the Robots were eventually relocated and isolated.

My biggest Issue with this Movie though was its Plot on how Humans ended up with such a high Degree of Technological Sophistication using 1990s Technology? But the Plot Twist took care of that, I should have known that the Russo Brothers who directed this almost never misses Important Details in any Movie. Lastly, this is the most “Spielbergy” Film I have seen in Decades, it reminded me a lot of how his Movies work, like with the sort of Childish, High Tech Touch to it. But ironically of course, it wasn’t made by Steven Spielberg.

* The Residence (2025) Limited Series – Highly recommended, I initially thought that 7 to 8 hours seem a bit long for a Murder Mystery Genre like this, but to their Credit, the Creators did a great Job in making Things interesting despite the long Screening Time. There were still some slow spots, of course, but the quirky but interesting Characters, the good Humor and Office Politics sort of filled that in effectively.

And of course a lot of Detail and Trivia about one of the most Interesting Places on Earth, the Residence of the President of the United States (US), the White House and its many Rooms. Great to see Giancarlo Esposito in one of the few non-villainous Roles that he has played, I suspect this is one of the Reason he agreed to do take this Role in the first Place.

With this Series doing well Worldwide, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of Detective “Cordelia Cupp”, the Main Character in this Series. They will likely do at least one Sequel with her in the Role, maybe more if it keeps doing well in Terms of being watched by Audiences. For Fans of the “Perfect Strangers” Comedy Series in the 1980s, “Balki Bartokomous” plays the Swiss Chef, I didn’t recognize him at first, it was only when I looked at the Cast online that I learned it was Bronson Pinshot. Overall, this Series is a pretty good one, Highy Recommended.

* Solo Leveling (2025) Season One, Part Two Animated Series – Outstanding, this excellent Series continues in what should be its Season Two already as being shown in other Platforms, but for some strange Reason Netflix still insisted on this being Part of Season One. Sun Jingwoo, the Main Character continues his Journey of “Leveling Up” his Powers as he faces new Challenges. The Series has great Storytelling, interesting Twists and interesting Characters as well.

This is set by the Way in an alternate, contemporary Reality where Magical Beasts are invading Earth through Portals that just randomly appear, and where Humans with Special Abilities called “Hunters”, “Mages” or “Healers” must confront the Invaders to protect Humanity. Anybody who has played a “Role Playing Game (RPG)” on a Computer knows exactly what this is about, and it is likely to be one of the main Factors for the Anime’s huge Popularity.

* Gold and Greed: The Hunt of Fenn’s Treasure (2025) Documentary Series – Outstanding, this is about a Modern Day Treasure Hunt initiated by Forrest Fenn which affected the Lives of everyone and their Families who got involved in it. I thought it was outstanding the Way they set this Series up a Thriller, following a number of Treasure Hunters as they went out thru the Years trying to find the Treasure, and it will leave you guessing on which one of them eventually found it. Just great Storytelling, with a very Interesting Group of Characters involved in the Pursuit of the Treasure. It also has an interesting Twist at the End where a new Treasure Hunt was eventually revealed.
