Debunking the Debunkers of the 2013 North Star UAP Video

One of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Videos released by the United States' (US) Department of War (DOW) last May 8, 2026 is getting a lot of attention for a couple of Reasons, one of which is its unusual Nature where an Object shaped like an eight-pointed Star was captured moving about in the Air.

I have seen a number of Articles and Social Media Posts calling it as "North Star" because it looks like one, and I think that is a very apt Description.

Another Reason for it getting a lot of attention was that several supposed "Debunkers" came out and said that the Object was just a "Flare", that a Parachute can be seen around it and that it was just an Optical Artifact, or a Type of Optical Error or Illusion. 

PARACHUTE

Well I don't agree with those Observations, because let's start with the supposed "Parachute" around it. It can't be a Parachute because Parachutes don't appear and then disappear out of thin Air. Note that it doesn't just appear or disappear from the Camera's Viewpoint, it literally just appears and disappears. 

FLARE

Next is that the Assertion that it is just a "Flare". No, it can't be a Flare because Flares flicker, but this one doesn't. Flares literally burns in the Air, and it flickers a lot especially as it flies thru the air. This Object doesn't flicker at all, I haven't noticed it do so at all. 

OPTICAL ARTIFACT

Last is that it is supposed to be just an "Optical Artifact". Again, no it is not such because those tend to be either Stationary, or change shape and even disappear if they move around. This is because such Artifacts rely on a specific angular interplay between the Light and the Lens, so if it is moving about that interplay changes also. 

This one doesn't change Shape at all for the more than a minute it moves around on the Video, it maintains it Shape throughout.

CONCLUSION

Bottom line is that whatever that Thing is, it is a solid Object flying thru the Air with no visible means of Propulsion, it clearly fits the Description of an "Unidentified Aerial Phenomena".
