My Watchable to Best Series and Movies on Netflix for the Month of January 2026

Here are the what I think are the "at least watchable" to the Best Series and Movies that I watched on Netflix for the Month of January 2026:

* Stranger Things (2025) Series Finale – Outstanding, lived up to my Expectations and I think very worthy of being the fitting End to a Worldwide Cultural Phenomenon, and one of Netflix’s Flagship Shows. Lots of Thrills and nice Twists, lots of Heart and the Special Effects were easily the equivalent of any major Hollywood Movie out there, and it is basically a Movie of its own with its over two hour long running time. I particularly like the End Scenes as for me it showed the Main Characters not only saying goodbye to the Series, but also their Childhood and Innocence as they moved on to Adulthood. It’s bittersweet seeing this Series end, but at least it went on its own Terms, and while it was still Popular and People were still willing to watch it.

* Evil Influencer: The Jodi Hildebrandt Story (2026) Documentary Movie – Outstanding, this is about a Therapist, Life Coach and Social Media Influencer of the Latter Day Saints (LDS) Sect, more popularly known as the Mormons, in the United States (US) who ended up physically and mentally abusing in secret the Children of her close Business Partner. This was only discovered after one of the Children escaped and was able to call the Cops. The Documentary also shows an Insight of the Religious Beliefs and Practices of the Mormon Church, as well as show the Rise of Fall of Hildebrandt who as pretty successful in her own Right, up until the discovery the abuse she was doing. Again, just another of the excellent and fascinating Documentaries on Netflix.

* Murder at Monaco (2025) Documentary Movie – Outstanding, this is about a Billionaire named Edmond Zafra who died in his Exclusive Penthouse in the tiny Country of Monaco during a Fire in the late 1990s. This is a Murder-Mystery, and like all such real-life Mysteries, it has the most impact if you know absolutely nothing about the Case. Among the many already outstanding Documentary Movies on Netflix, this one is a standout because of the many unpredictable twists it had, and also the Way the Director structured this Documentary is a bit manipulative since he chose to withhold some Information about the People involved until the last Moment, and that Information ended up having a bit impact on how People view on what really could’ve happened to the Case.

Personally for me, what I think happened was that (SPOILERS AHEAD) the Monaco Police was right in that one of the Suspects (which I will not Name here) really did try to start a small fire to try to be Hero the Billionaire, but that it got out of control. And unfortunately, the incompetent Bureaucracy of the Monaco Government contributed to the Tragedy when they refused to put out the Fire and open the Panic Room where Edmond hid for several Hours.

* His & Hers (2026) Limited Series – Above Average, this is a Murder Mystery Drama Thriller about a Cop and his Journalist Wife in the United States (US) who somehow got involved in the murder of a Young Woman. The “Mystery” Part of this Series is just so-so for most of the Episodes, they withheld a lot of the Information that would’ve made it a bit easier for the Audience to have an Idea on who the Killer is, until the last one or two Episodes. But it did go out with quite a Bang, because just when you thought it would one Way, it completely went another Way which caught me off-guard, which is mostly why I gave this an Above Average Rating. The Drama Part of the Series made up for some slow Spots, but the Charisma or Screen Presence of Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompson helped make the Episodes interesting enough to watch. If you can pull thru the slow Parts, then this Series will give you a very rewarding ending.

* Kill Tony: Once Upon a Time in Texas (2026) Comedy Special Event – Above Average, this is the second “Kill Tony” Event that I have seen, and while it is still quite entertaining, just not as good as the previous one I saw. This Show or Series of Shows have an interesting Format in that they allow usually new or up and coming Stand Up Comedians a minute or so to do their Routine, then Interview them afterwards. This is an outstanding Format for the Audience because of the unpredictability of it, you just don’t know how good or bad a Comedian will be. If he or she does bad, then at least it doesn’t last very long. If they do good, then they can stretch the Comedian’s exposure a bit more during the Interview.

For this Episode they didn’t have a lot of newcomers, choosing to focus more on their “Legends” or Veterans of the Show who are just about to breakout on their own in the Comedy Scene. This Series in General seems to have gained more Fame recently as they are now able to get big Name Comedians like Rob Schneider, Rosanne Barr, Carrot Top, Joe Rogan, etc. There were still some funny Moments, but I didn’t find some of their “Legends” to be quite as funny, and would’ve preferred if they went out and got just some really good newcomers instead.

* Bring Her Back (2025) Movie – Outstanding, this is a Supernatural Horror Mystery about a Pair of teenage Step Siblings somewhere in Australia who ended up being fostered by a strange Woman who had dark Secrets of her own. The Pacing is very good and the Characters are quite interesting. I don’t remember seeing a lot of Jump Scares in this Movie, the Horror aspect comes mainly from the Self-Mutilation Scenes which I found to be incredibly very, very disturbing to watch. The Mystery of what the Woman intended to do with the two Teenagers, and the nature of the Supernatural Element also plays a big Part in making this Movie very interesting. Overall I think this one is really good, but if you are the squeamish type then I wouldn’t recommend watching this one at all.

* The Rip (2026) Movie – Outstanding, this is an Action-Suspense-Thriller about a Group of Cops in the United States (US) who went out to try to steal Usd 20 million worth of Money that the Mexican Drug Cartel hid inside a House. This is the first big and outstanding original Movie by Netflix for the Year 2026. The Script did an amazing Job of confusing the Audience on who really are the “Good” and the “Bad” Guys, and there are some pretty neat Twists that helped get that along. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck gave excellent performances as the Lead Characters, their acting were Part of the main Reason that helped deceive the Audience. I particularly like the End Scene at the Beach, this Movie is supposed to be based on real Life and for me that Part really seemed to have happened, a neat closure for the Events in the Movie. Again, outstanding and a Must-Watch for me.

* Kidnapped: Elizabeth Smart (2026) Documentary Movie – Outstanding, the usual great Documentary which makes a Netflix Subscription so worth it. This is about the kidnapping in the early 2000s of a Teenager in Utah in the United States (US) as told by most the People who were involved in the Incident. I liked very much the many Twists and “Tricks” they used in this Documentary to make the Storytelling more compelling, like when they withheld the Identity of the Kidnapper first midway thru the Movie and introduced Elizabeth to tell her Side of the Story on what happened the Night she was taken. This is the third excellent Documentary I have watched on Netflix this Month.

* Skyscraper Live (2026) Sports Special Event – Outstanding, this is about the American Rock Climber Alex Honnold who did a “Free Solo” Climb of the Taipei 101 Tower, one of the tallest Buildings in the World. A “Free Solo” Climb is when a Climber climbs a Terrain without the use of Ropes or any Protective Equipment, except only for Climbing Chalk and Shoes, which is of course extremely dangerous. The Production Team had great Camera Perspectives of the climb with the use of Drones and even a Cameraman hanging on a Tether. I also liked the different Commentators they had at the Event which helped make the climb even more interesting to watch. And of course since this was shown Live, then there is that constant sense of Danger of what could happen during the Event.

* Take That (2026) Limited Documentary Series – Outstanding, this was so good that I ended up finishing all two and half Hours in three Episodes of it in almost a single sitting. This is about the inspiring Story Boy Band “Take That” that is based in the United Kingdom (UK), as told by the Band Members themselves. Gary Barlow made most of of the Narration and he is quite a good Storyteller. This Documentary detailed the Group Dynamics of the Band, their rise to fame, disbandment, their Individual Careers after that and then their unexpected comeback as a Band again which is still active up to now. This Series is inspiring as it showed really the many Ups and Downs of the Band and of the Members of the Group, and it did have a Happy Ending that still continues to this Day. Another awesome Documentary by Netflix that is very much worth watching.

* Miracle: The Boys of ‘80 (2026) Documentary Movie – Outstanding, this is about how an Underdog Team of College Players of the United States (US) managed to beat the formidable Team of the then Soviet Union in the Men’s Ice Hockey Competition during the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. The Soviet Union up to that Point had dominated the Sport for a long time, but the US Team playing on their Home Court managed to score such an unexpected upset, as told by most of the Team Members and other People involved with the Team at that time. It was heartening to see the Team Members who were so young back then look back at the Footages, Interviews and even visited the Venue where it all happened. A lot of Nostalgia from the People in the Movie who are now well into their 60s.
