City Government Giveaway – May 10, 2020

Baranggay Officials in our area again went House to House to give away the second batch of Food Assistance during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) outbreak.

One of the Officials actually handed me two Food Stubs to redeem the giveaway, but I gave one back and told him to just give it to others who may need them more. Also I didn’t want to get intrigued when other people start asking why I got two Stubs when each Household or Family is only allowed one.

The package they gave this time around was much better than the ones they gave away last March 28, 2020 wherein they gave just several kilos of Rice, two cans of Sardines and two packets of Noodles. This time they gave several kilos of Rice and 17 pcs. of Frabelle Foods’ Queen-sized Pinoy Hotdogs.

My only reservation is that these Hotdogs are perishable without refrigeration once the package is opened, so how about those poor Families who may not have access to Refrigerators? Hopefully they thought of giving those people something else that is easier to preserve.
